Salute To Great Mothers on Your Day

I was imagining the role mothers played in our life when I concluded that mothers are great and are great and wonderful gifts to humanity. How would the money dropped on the table by fathers translate to food for the family? When fathers would leave the house early every morning, who would be there to nurture and train us if not the mothers? As babes, when we messed up ourselves, who was there to clean us if not the mothers? When our nannies will ill-treat us when our parents were away, who was the one who gave us comforts if not our mothers?
I see great mothers as nurses, counselors, mentors, teachers, protectors, shapers of our characters and personalities.
I wonder at the great strength God puts in the mothers. They work from day to night and after the children will keep them awake all night yet they will start work again all day.
Most mothers today have gone beyond house helpers to bread winners. They do their work and take over the work of the fathers yet they are called “Help Meet” and are not well appreciated.
If not for mothers, how would the world be populated? What would the church and the society be without mothers?
I pray for you mothers “you will not miss your reward. Your children will be a source of comfort for you. At your old age, your children and grand children shall be available for you. You will enjoy peace in your homes. Your heart desire shall be met. I, Eno Imoh salute you all.
